11/22/07: Happy Thanksgiving, America!

I have been receiving a lot of reader inquiries over at MySpace about when my next erotic romance is coming out so I need to apologize to you for all of the delays. (And try to give you something of an explanation.)

First of all, my health has not been terribly good. I continue to exhibit more and more symptoms that have not been diagnosed and which cannot be explained by panic disorder, sleep apnea, or fibromyalgia... the three diseases that I have been diagnosed with. There are days when I cannot feel my right leg (literally), when my entire back goes numb, or when my legs feel like they've been set on fire. I get recurrent migraines that feel like a hammer to the head and sometimes my vision is so cloudy that I cannot make out the face of a person standing right in front of me. (Then, mysteriously, my vision will return in 20 minutes to an hour.)

I have gone in for test after test after test and nobody has given me any answers. I've gotten to the point where I've quit seeking medical advice because I'm just so tired of repeating myself but never getting anywhere with it. That, in turn, has created a lot of feelings of depression and despair. It's difficult knowing that something is wrong with you and not knowing what it is, or even having faith that it can be found.

Anyway, between my health problems, raising my children, remodeling our house to be handicapped friendly, and trying to sell our Florida home in the worst sellers' market of recent times, I have been way too involved with what's going on at the homefront to even think about much of anything else, writing included. I've tried to stay in touch to the best of my ability over at MySpace with my readers and aim to answer all inquiries, but I realize the entire world isn't on MySpace so I'm putting an explanatory note here as well :-)

That said, I am faithfully working on finishing up Big, Bad & Barbaric and do expect to finally be able to turn that book in soon! (A major thanks to Pocketbooks for being so gracious and giving me so much leeway.) And just as soon as I finish BB&B my sights will turn back to the Trek series so I can finally, after all of these years, give you the resolution you have been waiting for. Following that, I will finish up my Death Row serial. Once that is completed, I will make no more promises!

For those of you waiting on my story "Bossy & Clyde", it is done and will be released in the hardcover anthology Forbidden Fantasies. I had originally expected to release that solo, but my editors wanted it for the antho instead.

I am truly sorry for all the delays. I want to get these books done as badly as you want to read them. In the mean time, we've got a lot of great authors at Ellora's Cave ready to satiate your erotic romance cravings! :-)
